Lecture Phase

Beyond the classroom

Living in a dynamic international missionary community provides a stimulating environment to get to know God more. In the classroom we will focus on a different topic each week, learning from experienced speakers who have lived out the principles they teach. You will also have opportunities to learn outside the classroom through worship, prayer, small groups and one-on-one discipleship. The emphasis is on encountering God and responding to Him, practically applying what you learn, which leads to growth and fulfillment in your relationship with Him. You will also learn about Gods’ love for the lost, and be empowered to share His love with others. You will learn about evangelism, missions and extending God’s hope to the poor and needy.

Outreach Phase

Sharing God’s love

After three months of lectures, your DTS will head off on a two month cross-cultural outreach. Outreach teams go and serve the lost wherever they are, sharing the hope of Christ in many ways: evangelism, discipleship, sports, drama, youth ministry, teaching, music, practical service, prayer, media, healthcare – we do it all. We demonstrate the love of God to people through our lives and through the gifts that He’s given us. Teams regularly partner with local churches and YWAM ministries to strengthen their ministry and provide for follow up discipleship. Your final week will be spent back in Australia, de-briefing and being equipped to continue with everything that God has done in your life over the five months of the DTS.
