live supernaturally

God moves in mysterious ways, and He has the power to work miracles beyond our comprehension! God is a wonderful God that heals, restores, revives and brings the dead to life! We can’t fully comprehend these mysteries, but we can seek to know the Almighty One more. As we journey together to get to know God more, we will learn how to partner with him to see His kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Jesus lived a life that was full of love, compassion, kindness, grace and mercy, miracles, signs and wonders… and guess what? Jesus has called us as his disciples to live a life like him!

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these…” – John 14:12

We have been given the greatest gift – the gift of God’s Spirit inside of us! 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 also tells us that we’ve been blessed with other spiritual gifts through God’s Spirit. What better way to honour God than to learn how to operate in these gifts? Let’s learn to use what we’ve been so graciously given to build one another up and minister to the nations!

Two themes , one school

This Supernatural DTS will be combined with our Youth Ministry DTS for both the Lecture and Outreach Phases of the school. Each of the themes will be integrated into the DTS through workshops and activities.

lecture phase

The first part of the adventure is all about getting to know God. Throughout the lecture phase, we will learn from multiple teachers and guest speakers about who God is and His heart for missions.

During one week of the lecture phase, you’ll also be a part of a unique learning experience called the Niko program. Niko is a Greek word which means “to conquer or to overcome.” It is a five-day wilderness leadership training program where you take risks to discover more about who God has made you to be. Your learning environment will be the great outdoors, the classroom of life. You will learn skills vital to working as a team, being a leader, and pushing yourself beyond limits you thought you could never overcome. As an individual or a group you learn to surrender your individual rights and learn new levels of interdependence with others. The most important aspect is to grow in your dependence on God.

outreach phase

This part of the adventure is all about making God known. Outreach will involve sharing God’s transforming love with people who desperately need it. There are communities all over the globe lacking the basic necessities of life: food, water, clothing, shelter and health care. People are crying out for someone to come alongside them as the hands and feet of Christ to show them the love of the Father.

Our DTS outreach teams go and find the lost wherever they are, and then demonstrate the love of God in whatever way they can. Our heart is to go where there is physical and spiritual need and practically demonstrate God’s love by helping to meet those needs. It’s all about bringing the love of Christ to people through our lives and through the gifts that God has given us.

Whichever outreach location you choose, you will grow in confidence as you see God using you to show His love to others and gain a greater perspective of the world and what God is doing.
