Why Tasmania?

Tasmania packs the most beautiful parts in Australia in a unique package. From miles of beaches, snowy peaks, rolling hills, and endless untouched wilderness, Tasmania is one of the best-kept secrets in Australia. With icons such as Cradle Mountain, Wineglass Bay, Salamanca Market, and Mount Wellington, there is no lack of amazing things to see or do.

We are located just 30 minutes from Hobart on over 200 acres, surrounded by breathtaking views. It is the perfect place to focus on God whilst being surrounded by kangaroos, native birds, and other wildlife. Learn to know God better and be equipped to make Him known in Tasmania, Australia, and beyond. We have plenty of Discipleship Training Schools coming up, so what are you waiting for?

Ministry Leadership Internship

Quarterly

I originally came to Tasmania with the intentions of doing a six month course (PCYM) and then leaving. Here I am, over four years later, in love with where God has me. I am so happy with the adventure God has taken me on, the community of people I am surrounded by, the places I have been, and what I have learned about God and myself in the process. I have experienced an immense amount of healing, transformation, fun, fulfilment, and fruitfulness here in Tassie.

My time in Tassie was awesome. The family feel of the base really helped me open up and learn so much more about God and myself. Plus, the beautiful surroundings remind you of the Creator every day!

The first time I came to YWAM Tasmania for my DTS, I immediately felt at home. Tasmania is a beautiful place to learn about God and grow closer to Him, and I have absolutely loved being part of the YWAM family here as staff.

While in Tassie, I experienced a lot of healing not just physically, but emotionally as well. It was a place where I finally felt free from my brokenness – accepting only what the Father thinks of me.
