Reaching out to the most overlooked

Anti-Trafficking DTS focuses on the truth that people are made in the image of God and therefore have far more value than what the world places on them.

It includes all the normal lecture phase topics, including hearing God’s voice, Identity, Holy Spirit and much more. There is also an extra emphasis on being informed and praying about the scourge of human trafficking around the world. This will include extra classes discussing how it occurs and what can be done to stop it.

During outreach phase, we will work with ministries in South-East Asia who help rescue, rehabilitate and disciple those who have been trapped by the industry.

If God has placed a passion in you to reach those that are so valuable to God, yet, so forgotten by the world, consider applying today!

lecture phase

The first three months of the Anti-Trafficking DTS is about getting to know God. Living together on our beautiful YWAM campus, we will learn from multiple guest speakers from Australia and around the world.

In additional to classroom learning we will also take advantage of Tasmania’s pristine beaches, World Heritage Wilderness & National Parks and nature walks with their abundance of unique wildlife.

Some of the topics we will explore are:

The Nature and Character of God // Hearing God’s Voice // Holy Spirit // The Father Heart of God // Prayer, Intercession & Worship // Relationships // Identity // Lordship // Spiritual Warfare // Holiness and the Fear of the Lord // Missions and Evangelism

But those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength and rise up on wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk, and not faint. Is 40:31

outreach phase

The two-month outreach phase is an opportunity to make God known and share His transforming love with others, whilst putting into practice what we learnt on the lecture phase. Our willingness to follow Jesus now becomes our active obedience to share Him with others.

There are communities all over the earth lacking the basic necessities of life: food, water, clothing, shelter, and health care. They need someone to come alongside to be the hands and feet of Christ and show them the love of the Father. Our DTS outreach teams travel locally and internationally to share the gospel in whatever way they can. The aim is to go where there is physical and spiritual need and be bearers of God’s hope, truth and love.

As you experience God using you in new ways you will grow in confidence gaining a greater understanding of His purpose for you in the world.

Phil 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
